This page explains how to delete your Shotlinq account and everything stored with it. There are two ways to do it. Both delete the same things. You do not need to have the app installed to use the second one.
The short version. Deleting your account permanently removes your account, your tasks, your lists, and your streaks from our servers. It is immediate and it cannot be undone. It does not cancel a Premium subscription — that has to be cancelled separately in the Play Store, and there are instructions for that at the bottom of this page.
Deletion happens straight away. You will be signed out, and the email address you used can be used to create a completely new account later if you ever want to come back.
We do this by hand, and we will complete it and reply within 30 days, usually much sooner. There is no charge and we will not try to talk you out of it.
| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Your account and sign-in details (email address, authentication record) | Deleted permanently, immediately |
| Your tasks and the text in them, as stored on our servers | Deleted permanently, immediately |
| The copy of your tasks held offline on your own phone | Stays on your phone until you uninstall the app. It is never sent anywhere |
| Your lists, including locked ones | Deleted permanently, immediately |
| Your streaks and completion history | Deleted permanently, immediately |
| Your profile and Premium status record | Deleted permanently, immediately |
| Payment and purchase records | Kept by Google, not by us. See below |
| Emails you have sent us | Kept only if you emailed us, and only in our mailbox. Ask and we will delete those too |
Shotlinq never receives or stores your card number, your bank details, or your billing address. If you bought Premium, Google is the merchant — the record of that sale belongs to Google Play, sits in Google's systems, and is kept for as long as Google's own policies and Indian tax and accounting law require. Deleting your Shotlinq account has no effect on it, and we cannot delete it on your behalf. Our own copy — the small record the app uses to know whether Premium is switched on — is deleted along with everything else.
Nothing is retained beyond what this table describes. We keep no backup copy of your tasks after deletion. To clear the offline copy that Shotlinq keeps on your own device so the app works without a signal, uninstall the app — that removes it completely.
Deleting your account does not cancel Premium. Subscriptions live with Google, not with us, and Google will keep billing you until you cancel it there.
Cancel it first: Play Store → your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Shotlinq → Cancel subscription.
